2009-12 selection committees

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Amateur Softball Association (ASA), the National Governing Body (NGB) for softball in the United States, announced today that applications are now being accepted to form the Men’s National Team Selection Committee (MNTSC) and the Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) of USA Softball for the next Olympic Quadrennium (2009-2012). Applications must be received no later than Sept. 30, 2009.
The MNTSC will be responsible for selecting the players and coaches for the Men’s National Team (MNT) program while the WNTSC will be responsible for selecting for the Women’s National Team (WNT) program.
All candidates must be ASA Council member or a representative of an allied member. Candidates for either committee must submit the a letter of application and a resume to USA Softball’s Director of National Teams Ronnie Isham and the materials must be received no later than Sept. 30. The letter of application and resume must include:
- Your national playing, coaching and/or staff experience
- Your international playing, coaching and/or staff experience
- Your experience administrating national and/or international softball
- The reasons you would like to be a member of this committee
- A minimum of three references including names, addresses and appropriate contact numbers
